Summary:
The Elevate IDP Assessor is responsible for conducting Intoxicated Driver Assessments and all the functions related to the Depart of Transportation Intoxicated Driver Program (IDP) as specified in DHS 62 & 75.

Location: 1626 Clarence Ct West Bend, WI 53090

Work Week: Monday through Friday, 20-40 hours- FLEXIBLE DAYTIME HOURS

Pay Rate $19- $26 per hour; with pay increase after certification

Essential Functions

  • Provide screening, referral and case management services to adults including, but not limited to, Operating While Intoxicated and Depart of Motor Vehicle referrals. Conducts pre-assessments and amended assessments as necessary.
  • Develops driver safety plans for all IDP clients assessed.
  • Monitors compliance with driver safety plans as required by DHS 62 & 75.
  • Provides referrals to agencies/community resources to assist client in treatment and recovery.
  • Completes all reports and documentation as required by DHS 62 & 75 in a timely manner.
  • Maintain case records.
  • Provide consultation to treatment providers and agency staff as requested.
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with SUD treatment referral agencies.
  • Respond to client calls/inquiries regarding current and past DSP.
  • Coordinate case management responsibilities with Intake Coordinator.
  • Complete all documentation associated with IDP Assessment.
  • Complete monthly dashboard report and manage spreadsheets for accuracy.
  • Coordinate/implement the quarterly OWI Recovery Sessions (ORS) including scheduling speakers and managing attendance.
  • Ensure all forms and the Policy and Procedure Manual remain updated to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Complete underage DPA's.
  • Participate in committee/affiliation meetings, agency staff/program meetings as specified.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree and/or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification required. (SAC-IT, SAC, CSAC)
  2. Certified as an IDP Assessor or will successfully complete Wisconsin State required IDP Assessor Approved Training course within 6 months of hire date if not already certified while at Elevate.
  3. Knowledge of laws governing confidentiality.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications. 
  6. Have training in the administration of Naloxone within the first six months of hire and be willing to administer Naloxone in the case of a suspected opioid overdose.
