Job Summary:
The Crisis Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of Elevate’s Crisis Service Programs in Sheboygan County. These services include Mobile Crisis, Walk-In Crisis Services, and the Co-responder Program. This position works closely with the Crisis Services Program Manager, the City/County of Sheboygan Police Department and Sheboygan County Health and Human Services. The Crisis Coordinator serves on the leadership team for Crisis Services.

Pay Range:                       $23-$29/hour
Hours:                               Full Time 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM with every other weekend (flexibility required)

Essential Functions:
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and support to crisis staff, including mobile crisis and co-responder team members
  • Oversee daily program operations to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
  • Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and time-off approvals to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide leadership support during high-risk or complex situations
  • Support staff in the field as needed, including responding to crisis situations and providing guidance on assessments and interventions
  • Ensure compliance with WI Chapter 34 standards, agency policies, and county requirements
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development to ensure staff meet credentialing and best practice standards
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure timely, accurate documentation and data collection
  • Monitor program data including response times, service utilization, and outcomes
  • Assist in evaluating program effectiveness and implementing improvements
  • Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures for daily operations
  • Maintain program resources, including ordering supplies and ensuring operational readiness
  • Facilitate team meetings, case consultations, and staff communication to promote alignment and consistency
  • Collaborate with law enforcement through briefings, debriefings, ride-alongs, and proactive communication
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners to improve coordination and service delivery
  • Support client needs as appropriate, including involvement in complex or high-risk cases
  • Collaborate with community programs (e.g., Calm Harbor) to ensure continuity of care
  • Identify opportunities for program growth, system improvement, and community engagement
  • Complete administrative tasks including documentation oversight, follow-up tracking, and reporting requirements
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
  • Identify public policy or system-level opportunities to improve crisis response services
  • Support outreach, training, and public speaking engagements as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field required
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in crisis services, mental health, or substance use services required
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience required
  • Experience in crisis intervention or crisis service delivery strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to support, coach, and guide staff in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure or complex situations
  • Experience collaborating with law enforcement and community partners preferred
  • Proficient in technology, data tracking, and program evaluation systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with measurable outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to Elevate’s mission
  • Experience with public speaking, presentations, or community outreach preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Participation in on-call rotation required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the county
  • Successful completion of reference, background, driver’s license checks and drug screening
