Recovery Support Technician – Part-Time (As Needed)

Location: 1626 Clarence Court, West Bend, WI
Schedule: Every Other Weekend – Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Additional opportunities for hours during the week may be available, up to 10 hours per week, based on program needs.

Pay Range: $16.00–$18.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Recovery Support Technician provides support to individuals with substance use disorders participating in the Washington County Diversion Programs. This position is responsible for completing drug and alcohol testing according to established best practice standards, supporting recovery-focused activities, and encouraging positive community engagement.

This is an excellent part-time opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in the addiction services field. It is ideal for a college student pursuing their Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) or SAC-IT credential, as Elevate, Inc. can provide clinical supervision hours and support professional development.

Elevate, Inc. may also provide guidance and support for individuals interested in obtaining their Certified Peer Support Specialist credential, when applicable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with individuals in recovery.
  • Successful completion of required pre-employment screening, including:
    • Criminal background check
    • Employment verification/background screening
    • Drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Peer Support Specialist credential.
  • Pursuing education or certification in the substance use disorder or behavioral health field.
  • Previous experience supporting individuals impacted by substance use disorders, mental health concerns, or recovery services.

Essential Functions

  • Perform observed drug and alcohol testing for program participants in accordance with program procedures and best practice standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the case management team to support participant goals, program objectives, and successful outcomes.
  • Enter and maintain accurate participant information within the electronic health record system.
  • Meet with participants to provide encouragement, support, and accountability related to their recovery goals.
  • Promote recovery-oriented practices, positive community engagement, and prosocial activities.
  • Maintain participant confidentiality and follow all agency policies and procedures.
